Parenting a growing child is hard. Embrace Wellness is here to provide you and your children
with support, guidance, and practical strategies to cope
with the pains and stresses that can accompany navigating childhood.

OFFICE POLICIES

THERAPY SESSIONS are approximately 45-55 minutes long, depending on the needs and age of the child.

CONFIDENTIALITY
I will not disclose information about you or your child’s therapy to anyone without your written permission.  The exceptions to this would be:  1) if the child is deemed to present a danger to self or others; 2) if concerns about possible abuse or neglect arise; or 3) if a court order is issued to obtain records.

PAYMENT
It is your responsibility to be aware of your policy benefits, financial obligations, insurance limitations as well as to verify that I am in network with your insurance plan. I am in-network provider with most Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Highmark Health Options, AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware, and Delaware Medicaid plans.

If I do not accept your insurance, you will be responsible to pay the full fees, which we will discuss before the initial session. Please ask if you have any financial questions, I will try my best to work with you.

Payment is due at the beginning of each session unless other arrangements have been made.  Payment options include cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

CANCELLATIONS
I appreciate as much advance notice of an appointment cancellation as possible.  There is a $50 fee for a missed session or any session cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, unless there is a sudden serious illness or family emergency.  Please note that this fee is not billable to your insurance company. In the event of continued missed appointments or cancellations, I reserve the right to close your case and refer you for services to another provider.

TELEPHONE COVERAGE/AFTER HOURS SUPPORT
The telephone is primarily answered by an answering machine which is checked regularly during the work day, and at various times during non-work hours.  Phone calls will be returned as soon as possible. However, email is best for reaching Kelly Gordon, LCSW.

In the case of a child crisis, call the Delaware Child Crisis Response Hotline at 1-800-969-HELP (4357) or 988 for the National Crisis Lifeline; they both have 24-hour coverage. In the case of an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
