​

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in family-centered therapeutic approaches aimed to support parents and their children with social, emotional, and behavioral issues. 

​

I am also a mother and can empathize with the struggles that come with parenting. I want to support you, your child, and your family with building resiliency and growing together.

​

My background:

• I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, with a specialization in children and families.

• I specialize in working with children with trauma histories and mood disorders, including anxiety and depression, helping build secure attachment in the caregiver-child relationships. 

 

During the course of my career, I have studied the principles of relational and attachment-based psychotherapy, and have extensive training in child-centered play therapy, infant and early childhood mental health, cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, perinatal mood disorders, and trauma-informed yoga.

Special training and certification:

• Certified as a clinical social work supervisor through the National Association of Social Workers – Delaware Chapter.

• The only registered Circle of Security® Parenting™ educator in Delaware, working with children and parents to promote health expression of difficult feelings and experiences, while enhancing the connection between the parents and the child.

• Trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy, an evidenced-based treatment model for trauma-exposed children age birth to five with a goal to support and strengthen the caregiver-child relationship as a vehicle for restoring and protecting the child’s mental health.

• Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method that integrates the mind, body, and spirit, and helps people recover from trauma and adverse life experiences. 

• Completed certification in Telemental Health for Successful Virtual Sessions with Children, Adolescents, and Families.
